United States European Command Provides Nearly $800,000 for Estonian Border Guard Projects
The U.S. Embassy in Estonia is pleased to announce that the United States European Command will be providing just under $800,000 (approx. 8,4 million EEK) in Counter Narcotics Terrorism Funds for two border guard projects in Estonia.
The main priority of the projects is to provide the capability to refuel aircrafts at the Narva and Värska border stations. The funds will be used to improve the existing helicopter landing pads and lighting, as well as to build a maintenance structure at Narva. The Border Guard station in Värska will receive $239,573 (approx. 2,520,000 EEK) and Narva will receive $559,088 (approx. 5,869,500 EEK).
