United States Visa Lottery Open until December 4
Individuals wishing to enter the annual U.S. Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery (so called 'green card lottery') have until Monday, December 4, 2005 (19:00 Estonia time) to enter online at www.dvlottery.state.gov.
Participants are encouraged to complete their lottery entry before the final week when the lottery website could be overloaded and subject to system delays.
Entrants must have completed the equivalent of a U.S. high school education. Persons born in any of 18 high-immigration countries, including Russia, are generally not eligible for the Lottery, though exceptions apply (see website for details).
There is no absolutely no fee to enter. Please be aware there are some organizations seeking fees that pose as official Diversity Visa Lottery websites.
Applicants selected in the Diversity Visa random drawing are notified by the Department of State, Kentucky Consular Center by letter, not email, and are provided instructions on how to proceed to the next step in the process. No other organization or company is authorized by the Department of State to notify Diversity Visa lottery applicants of their winning entry.
Last year 44 Estonians were among the 50,000 winners worldwide drawn from 6.3 million Lottery entrants.
