The U.S. Embassy and the Estonian Ministry of Defense Honor the Estonian Veterans of the Iraqi Mission with a Jazz Concert

 On March 1 and 3, the U.S. Army Europe Band's jazz ensemble “The Soldiers of Swing” concluded its Baltic tour with concerts in Estonia.  The March 3rd concert at the National Library of Estonia in Tallinn commemorated the completion of Estonia's participation in Operation Iraqi Freedom and thanked the men and women of the Estonian Defense Forces for their heroic service.  The concert was co-hosted by the Ministry of Defense and Estonian Minister of Defense Jaak Aaviksoo and Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Karen Decker of the U.S. Embassy made remarks. 

Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and former Estonian President Arnold Rüütel also attended the concert.  On March 1st, on their way from Riga to Tallinn the band performed at a public concert in Pärnu.
