On Friday, November 5th, U.S. Ambassador Aldona Wos joined Minister of
Social Affairs Marko Pomerants to present the Tallinn Psychiatric
Hospital's newly renovated first floor to the public. The U.S.
Embassy's Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC), as part of its
Humanitarian Assistance program, funded this renovation. Along with the
ODC's funding of the renovation of the hospital's second floor,
concluded in 2002, the total cost of the project was 4.2 million Kroons.
In addition to this renovation, the U.S. Ambassador presented to the
hospital administration the keys to a van and a 10-kilowatt generator.
