Two U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter jets in Tallinn

Two U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter jets arrived to Tallinn on September 14, as part of a broader NATO exercise. The fourth in a series of exercises held under the Baltic Region Training Event, BRTE-IV is scheduled to take place September 14-15 at Tallinn International Airport. This training event will involve international forward air controller (FAC) instructors assisting Estonian FAC's and ground commanders in employing NATO air strike assets - two F-15E Strike Eagles assigned to RAF Lakenheath - in representative combat mini scenarios.

This is the fourth such exercise held in the framework of the Baltic Region Training Event. The first BRTE exercise took place in October of 2008; BRTE-II in April of 2009, while BRTE-III took place earlier this year in July.
