Peter Eldridge Group in Tallinn
December 10, 2007 former vocalist of the New York Voices Peter Eldridge performed with his new group as part of the annual Christmas Jazz Festival. Eldridge's heart-warming voice offered a variety of melodies from jazz standards to blues to bossanovas.
Narva Library Conference "Library and Society"
November 29, 2007 Narva Central Library, in cooperation with U.S. Embassy Tallinn, hosted a conference entitled “Library and Society.” The nationwide conference, which was attended by 55 librarians, was designed to promote integration and create a better understanding about the relationship between libraries and society.
Robert Nickson’s Workshop and Lecture at the Baltic Film and Media School
November 28, 2007 Robert Nickson, producer of independent feature films and a founding partner of Orenda Films and Madlight Pictures, spoke about movie production and film commissions at Tallinn University. The audience consisted of representatives of Enterprise Estonia, the Estonian Film Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, and Tallinn City Government.
Robert Egger participated in the 5th national Estonian civil society conference
November 22 – 23, 2007 Robert Egger participated as the U.S. keynote Speaker at the 5th national Estonian civil society conference entitled "Good Citizen – a Project or Lifestyle". The 2007 conference focused on how to create a more favorable environment for people to act in a group or individually as good citizens.
11th Annual Black Nights Film Festival - PÖFF - Screens U.S. Movies
November 30 - December 9, 2007 Annual Black Nights Film Festival – Estonia's largest and most important film festival - was held in Tallinn and in other Estonian cities. The festival included mainstream movies from around the world along with sub-festivals of animated films, student films, and children/youth films.
U.S. Librarian Nancy Pearl Shares Her Life of Reading
October 22-26, 2007 Librarian Nancy Pearl visited Estonia to talk with librarians, future librarians, and students to encourage reading and to discuss the role of libraries and librarians in society. U.S. Drummer Lee Patrick Mastelotto performed in Estonia
October 25, 2007 American drummer Pat Mastelotto, formerly of King Crimson, performed as part of the duo Tuner. Mastelotto and guitarist Markus Reuter held their first live show in over a year in Tallinn's most modern and popular concert venue, Rock Cafe, which was built in a Soviet-era paper mill. IMPACT 5- An International Forum for Printmakers, Curators, Critics, Collectors
October 17-21, 2007 The international printmakers conference IMPACT 5 was held in Tallinn. The biannual conference is an international forum for printmakers, curators, critics, collectors, and suppliers of art printing materials and equipment. More than 30 U.S. printmakers and curators participated in the conference in 2007.
Eesti Kontsert NYYD festival
October 12 - 21, 2007 The prestigious 10th International Contemporary Music Festival of Estonia, or NYYD Festival ("now" in Estonian), took place in Tallinn. The festival invited two world-class musicians from United States: Peter Erskine (percussions, drums) and John Patitucci (bass).
Different Modernisms, Different Avant-gardes Art and Film Festival
September 26-27 and October 5-6, 2007 an art and film history conference entitled "Different Modernisms, Different Avant-Gardes" was held in Tallinn. The two part conference was organized by the National Art Museum of Estonia and sponsored in part by U.S. Embassy Tallinn, which supported U.S. speaker Steven Mansbach of the University of Maryland.
Former New York Times Columnist Featured at Media Conference
October 4, 2007 Columbia University adjunct faculty member and former New York Times columnist Bill Berkley gave a presentation at the Estonian TV (ETV) Media Conference “Changing Media,” talking to an audience about the changes in the U.S. media after 9/11.
International Break Dance competition Battle of EST
October 6-7, 2007 International Break Dance competition Battle of EST took place in Tartu. KILLA4NIA from the U.S. won the battle. Killa4nia is one of United States most victorious dance crews. Winning local, national, and international events from the beginning of the crew’s creation. Killafornia is an ensemble of California’s best.
Rainbow Jazz, “The Four Freshmen” concerts in Tallinn, Jõhvi, Pärnu and Tartu
October 11-14, 2007 “The Four Freshmen” gave concerts in Tallinn, Jõhvi, Pärnu and Tartu. The headliner of the Rainbow Jazz (with the title “Touching Your Soul") that took place in Tartu Vanemuine Concert Hall is a vocal group from the U.S.
Religion Tolerance Speaker Dr. Jeremy Gunn spoke at the Film Festival tARTuFF
August 28 - September 2, 2007 Speaker Dr. Jeremy Gunn, director of the ACLU Program on Freedom of Religion and Belief, came to Estonia to attend a roundtable on national minorities and attend a conference on religious tolerance.
Concert to Commemorate Fallen Diplomat
September 23, 2007 NYYD Ensemble performed music by U.S. composer George Antheil at a U.S. Embassy organized memorial concert for embassy contacts at the Swedish Church of St. Michael's. The concert celebrated the 95th anniversary of Henry Antheil, George Antheil's younger brother and a clerk at the U.S. Legation in Helsinki, who was killed near Keri island in 1940.

July 3-14, 2007 Ruth Zaporah, legendary American dancer, actress, mime and improvisation master, the founder of improvisational theatre-method called Action Theater, gave her exclusive workshop in the frame of Young Dancers Festival's International Summer School 2007 in Viljandi, Estonia.
Soap Box Derby
June 9, 2007 The NGO Center of Creating Development and Leisure GAGARIN in Narva organized a Soap Box Derby. Teams from around Estonia gathered at the Russian-Estonian border city to compete in an all-American tradition.
French Connection Movie Festival: "Le Cinéma Francais "The American Way"

John Edward Hasse Lectures in Tallinn and Kuressaare
