Narva Library Conference "Library and Society"
November 29, 2007 Narva Central Library, in cooperation with U.S. Embassy Tallinn, hosted a conference entitled “Library and Society.” The nationwide conference, which was attended by 55 librarians, was designed to promote integration and create a better understanding about the relationship between libraries and society.
Robert Nickson’s Workshop and Lecture at the Baltic Film and Media School

October 17-21, 2007 The international printmakers conference IMPACT 5 was held in Tallinn. The biannual conference is an international forum for printmakers, curators, critics, collectors, and suppliers of art printing materials and equipment. More than 30 U.S. printmakers and curators participated in the conference in 2007.
Eesti Kontsert NYYD festival
October 12 - 21, 2007 The prestigious 10th International Contemporary Music Festival of Estonia, or NYYD Festival ("now" in Estonian), took place in Tallinn. The festival invited two world-class musicians from United States: Peter Erskine (percussions, drums) and John Patitucci (bass).
Different Modernisms, Different Avant-gardes Art and Film Festival
September 26-27 and October 5-6, 2007 an art and film history conference entitled "Different Modernisms, Different Avant-Gardes" was held in Tallinn. Concert to Commemorate Fallen Diplomat
September 23, 2007 NYYD Ensemble performed music by U.S. composer George Antheil at a U.S. Embassy organized memorial concert for embassy contacts at the Swedish Church of St. Michael's. The concert celebrated the 95th anniversary of Henry Antheil, George Antheil's younger brother and a clerk at the U.S. Legation in Helsinki, who was killed near Keri island in 1940.
