Defense Attaché Office

The Defense Attaché is Kip L. Henderson.
He is the primary military advisor to the Ambassador and Country Team on military issues and developments within Estonia and he has been appointed as the Senior U.S. Defense Representative in country by the Commander of the U.S. European Command (EUCOM). He also represents the Secretary of Defense, all Service Secretaries, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the U.S. European Command in Estonia. Commander Henderson observes and reports on Estonian military and security developments and advises the Ambassador and DCM on political-military issues and supports Department of Defense (DoD) and armed services' VIP visitors to Estonia.

In addition to the Defense Attaché, this office includes U.S. Army Attaché Robert Schaefer
, who represents the Secretary of the Army and the Chief of Staff of the Army and serves as acting Defense Attaché in Commander Henderson's absence. The Operations Coordinator or OPSCO is U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Britt Skaggs. The Defense Attaché Office also has one locally employed staff member, Mr. Andres Ojasaar.
