US Ambassador to NATO Nicholas Burns Visit

October 10-11, 2002 Ambassador Nicholas Burns, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, will lead a U.S. inter-agency delegation on a visit to Estonia, October 10-11, 2002.

The group will meet with President Arnold Rüütel, Prime Minister Siim Kallas, Minister of Defense Sven Mikser and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristiina Ojuland to discuss NATO enlargement issues. The visit to Estonia is part of a tour of NATO candidate country capitals.

Ambassador Burns, together with U.S. Ambassador Joseph DeThomas, will give a press conference at Tallinn Airport VIP lounge at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2002.
