Registration
of Americans Residing in Estonia

U.S. citizens planning to stay or travel in Estonia should register with the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tallinn. Registration has several purposes:

1. To document your U.S. citizenship and enable the Embassy to contact you in an emergency or crisis.

2. To allow you to identify your next-of-kin or whomever you would like notified in case you should meet with misfortune.

3. To inform the Embassy where you can be reached and to which of your friends or relatives we can give that information in the event that your loved ones can't get in touch with you.

4. **Please note that the information in our Registration files is covered by the U.S. Privacy Act and may not be released to third parties without your authorization.

Registration may be done online by clicking on the link at the top of this page. You may also register in person by appointment. Please call 668-8100 to make your appointment. If you are registering in person, please bring your U.S. passport so that the data therein may be recorded.
